About Oasis

Oasis was birthed through a dream. I saw a black woman gazing out of her window at a small body of water that added so much grace to her view. As I came closer to her, I began to see so much pain, so much love, and so much determination within her. As I came closer, I began to feel everything she felt. Her very presence exuded a healing I could relate to. As I lent my ear to hear the words of every character in this book, each of them took me on a different journey, and it was imperative for me to know everything about them. I needed to get acquainted with their mind and how they moved, so that when I wrote their story it would be written through thorough understanding and not judgment. 

I received so many signs of confirmation when I wrote this book to let me know I was aligning with my purpose at that present time. I saw more offices with the name Oasis on the front of it, it wasn’t funny. Every time I got online there was something in front of me with the name Oasis in it. But, when I saw an Oasis in real life, it was breathtaking. So, when I write about Beautii standing in her window receiving so much peace of mind as she gazed out into the distance, I feel like she was speaking to me. Speaking to those who were and will read about her… behooving us to find our place of peace, and don’t let just anybody into that space.
